The First International Tea Fair, Tea Expo 2000, closed its gates after having received, from the 23 to 26 November 2000, more than 65 000 visitors.

This first edition of Tea Expo 2000 confirmed the highest interest of the public for discovering the fascinating tea world: tea itself, tea beneficial effects on health, tea accessories, tea derived products, tea cultural aspects, 'art de vivre'...

In fact, during four days, Tea Expo 2000 brought into honour the three aspects : Art, Culture and Health.

A lot of people were attracted by this great event. Not only the French people, but also 'tea amateurs' coming from Russia, the United-Kingdom, China, Japan, Brazil, Argentina,c were interested in cultural aspect and precious effects of tea.

  • An International Scientific on the beneficial Effects of the tea on Health which gathers physicians, nutritionists, dieticians, researchers and industrials of the whole world.
  • A forum 'Tea and Economy' for the professionals of the tea, eager to develop and improve trade between productions and consumption poles.
  • A program of cultural events, organised by the professionals for general public : ceremonies, s, exhibitions, demonstrations and tasting.

Tea Expo 2000 :

  • 65 000 visitors
  • Widely supported by media (French TV: TF1, France 3; Radio: Europe 1, France Inter, Cherie Fm; International Written Press: Madame Figaro, Le Parisien, L'Express, Femme Actuelle, Le Figaro, Le Quotidien des Medecins, L'Impact Medecin, Zurban, Pariscope, Herald Tribune, L'Impatient...)

After such a success, Tea Expo Executive Committee will renew this event for 2001 :

  1. Tea Expo 2001 will take place at the end of October in Paris
  2. Opening days: 4 days
  3. First opening day: exclusively reserved to tea professionals to develop their business contacts and inform them about the most recent medicinal, economic and cultural advances.
  4. Gathering all the international tea organisations in Paris to make Tea Expo the unique event in the tea world.

What's new for 2001

The first opening day of Tea Expo 2001 is exclusively reserved to the professionals to develop the interprofessional meetings and to inform them of the lastest medical, economical and cultural advances concerning the tea.
All the s on the beneficial effects of tea on health will be opened to the general public this year.
